Pattern of Penny size struck for a suggested decimal coinage (a popular numismatic debate in the 1840s), from a set dated 1846 which never came to be. Although restrikes exist, Peck claims that coins such as this specimen with coin-rotation die alignment are all originals dating to 1846. Coin rotation. Attractively toned and very rare.
