The Marrian and Gausby pattern coins were made in small numbers in 1846 and later restruck by a Mr Shorthouse of Birmingham in 1888, also in very small quantities. Peck states that all the dies were destroyed in 1888, and cites a letter dated 1909 from Shorthouse to L. Forrer as his source of reliable information. .
